late discovery

last night, as i was (patiently?) waiting for hun to arrive at fully booked gateway, i chanced upon novels written by a chick lit author melissa nathan. ok, so i guess initially, i judge a book by its cover, and so i pick "the learning curve" and read the plot. it seemed interesting enough, but i wanted to read the first few pages, but the book was sealed in plastic.

i picked up the next book, "the waitress" and my interest grew. mukha namang madaling basahin. just the type of book i was in the mood for. i also saw a copy of "the nanny" and learned that it is a bestseller. goodie. now i can add them to my wish list.

so just imagine my surprise to find out that author melissa nathan just died this april, at the young age of 37! i thought i will be looking forward to more of her works (even if i haven't really tried reading one). sayang.
